Calvin Jarvis

December 21, 2023 08:39 AM
Calvin is from Grants Pass, Oregon, and in his free time, he loves to read Spanish medieval literature, work in his herb garden, draw maps, and spend time with family. When he was looking for a major, Calvin wanted to go into a science that he could physically measure but still had a lot of mystery and new ideas to discover, that's when he came across geology. He had always loved to study the natural world so geology was perfect for him. His future plans involve studying either hydrothermal or groundwater. When asked why geology was important to him, Calvin said,” Geology is foundational to all other sciences and industries. Whether it's history, industry, or climate, almost all sciences in some way are affected by the important work we do as geologists.”
