WHY STUDY GEOLOGY?

We all call planet Earth home. Everything we need and everything we have comes from our beautiful planet. From the water we drink to the materials used to build the device you're reading this on. Geologists work to discover and understand these natural resources. Their work not only helps make modern life possible it makes modern life sustainable. Research conducted by geoscientists informs decisions being made to correctly utilize and protect all of Earth's natural resources. Their research also helps identify and mitigate natural hazards.

Whether you want to work in environmental science, find new energy resources, explore the solar system, learn about ancient life, work at a federal agency, prepare for an MBA or go to law school, you have come to the best major.
