Geologic Map

The geologic map will serve as a guide to help you orient yourself in the canyon. Each of the colored rock formations is linked to the appropriate page. Simply click on any part of the colored formation, with the exception of the yellow Qal and the orange DMf, and the corresponding page will appear. The Wasatch Fault (bold black line with tics on the downside) is also linked to its page.

The line from A to A' shows where the cross-section below was drawn. A stratigraphic column, with the names and age of each formation, can be accessed from the link box on the upper left of the page.
