Stunning Images of Iceland Volcano Captured by BYU Geology Professor

Although she's trekked up volcanoes worldwide, a 2021 trip to Iceland proved to be a once-in-a-lifetime event for BYU geological sciences professor Jani Radebaugh. The Fagradalsfjall volcano, which hasn't erupted in 6,000 years, put on an incredible show during Radebaugh's recent visit. A planetary scientist who studies geological processes on Earth and other planets, Radebaugh was able to collect samples and capture incredible images of the eruption.
