Hyrum Briscoe is a Master's student in BYU's Department of Geological Science from West Point, Utah. He comes from a big family and is the youngest of eight kids. He likes to rock climb, and play board games like Settlers of Catan. Hyrum is really excited for winter so he can go snowboarding.
He got his undergrad at Weber State in geology. He took his first class there and knew that geology was the perfect major for him. He is now studying structural geology, researching the structural analysis of the Simpson Mountains.
He likes the geology program because of how closely he can work with all of the professors. Everyone, students included, is really close and good friends.
