Annalise Basset is a Junior in the Department of Geological Sciences! She likes being outside, whether it be camping, hiking, or reading! She also plays piano and cello.
The thing that sparked her interest in geology was when she was on her mission she found a rock collection labeled in Hungarian, and she thought it was super cool. She also knew she didn't want to be sitting at a desk for the rest of her life so geology fieldwork was an added perk.
She is hoping to research renewable resources or the process of more effective waste disposal. She thinks everyone should be a geology major because it gives us valuable solutions to modern-day problems.
