What is a Geophysicist?

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics states that the largest concentration of geophysicists, who fall under the broader category of geoscientists, can be found working typically in California, Texas, and Colorado. The geoscience industry as a whole is expected to grow about five percent from 2023 to 2033, and about 2200 geoscience job openings are projected each year.
