Mineralogy & Petrology

When I first started my undergraduate career at BYU-Idaho, I never once thought about the possibility of being a geology major. As required I took the 3 levels of science GE courses and they all happened to be taught by geology professors. That is when I realized how cool geology is and how it allows us to study and understand the history of the Earth.

"I knew I wanted to study something that could keep me active, traveling and in nature, and seeing my father doing that sparked a genuine interest in me about geology."
